Why the range?
The range covers the amount of time required to build and book a specific itinerary, which can vary greatly by trip type and location. Things like the amount of original research, remote location, and extensive logistics can all increase the price.
I always start each project with a budget conversation and a quote so there won’t be any surprises!
Examples of planning costs:
- Planning a European trip with luxury accommodations and private/small group tours would be 10% of total trip cost.
- Following your favorite historical author’s path through Europe would be 12-13% of total trip cost. This accounts for the historical research of where they went and modern sites that align with those travels today.
- Travels that require above and beyond logistics, think remote/rural/developing nation locations with private guides, private drivers, specialists; these extra steps and coordination bring the rate to 15% of total trip cost.
