I charge a daily planning fee for my Bespoke trips that range between $50-$100 per day of the trip. The minimum cost is $350 USD, which will be collected up front as a non-refundable deposit.
Why the range?
The range covers the amount of time required to build and book a specific itinerary, which can vary greatly by trip type and location. Things like the amount of original research, remote location, and extensive logistics can all increase the price.
I always start each project with a budget conversation and a quote so there won’t be any surprises!
Examples of planning costs:
- Planning a European trip with luxury accommodations and private/small group tours would be $50-$60 per day.
- Following your favorite historical author’s path through Europe would be $65-75 per day. This accounts for the historical research of where they went and modern sites that align with those travels today.
- Travels that require above and beyond logistics, think remote/rural/developing nation locations with private guides, private drivers, specialists; these extra steps and coordination bring the rate to $75-$100 per day.

Ideally, I recommend starting 6 to 12 months in advance for more complex or high-demand trips. However, I can accommodate shorter timelines when needed—just reach out, and I’ll do my best.

Yes! While large group, generic tours can be impersonal and rushed, there are a handful of small group operators out there whom I love to use as part of a bespoke itinerary! Think amazing multi-day food tours or a way to ease yourself into solo travel.
If I ever recommend one of these tours, it usually will be as a part of a larger trip with custom excursions before or after.
